Name: Charlie Callinan

Position: Wide Receiver

Number: 83

Year: Senior

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 235

Hometown: Westfield, NJ

High School: St. Peter’s Prep

2016 Stats: Charlie played in all 13 games, making nine starts at wide receive, he was fourth among receivers with 286 receiving yards, catching 24 passes with one touchdown catch and averaged 11.9 yards per catch

2015 Stats: Charlie saw action in 12 games, making 10 starts at wide receiver, finished the season 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 14 catches

Projections: While he may not be the flashiest receiver on the team, he’s been a dependable target for the past two seasons. With Jeff Smith and Michael Walker most likely starting, Callinan will be a rotational guy but still a valuable asset on this team. He has good speed, decent hands, and a huge frame to get up and get passes. We have seen some of that in years past, but with Darius Wade quarterbacking this year, having players like Callinan and Chris Garrison will be huge.

Over/Under: 30 catches, 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.

How’d He Get Here: A 3-star recruit from St. Peter’s Prep, a Boston College pipeline that has brought the Eagles Jon Hilliman and Ben Petrula, Callinan chose the Eagles over Rutgers and lesser schools like UConn.
