Better Know an Eagle 2017: OL Ryan Conte

The Junior could see some playtime

NCAA Football: Quick Lane Bowl-Boston College vs Maryland Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Ryan Conte

Position: Offensive Lineman

Number: 65

Year: Junior

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 295

Hometown: Somerville, Massachusetts

High School: Phillips Exeter Academy

2016 Stats: Conte redshirted his first year, and saw no playtime as a RS freshman. However in his sophomore year he did make appearances in the Clemson and Wagner games.

Projections: Conte is probably set to be a backup at the guard positions behind Aaron Monteiro or John Phillips. Offensive line is, however, one of the more rotation prone positions, so Conte could see snaps when the guards get tired or rolled up on.

Over/Under: I’d say 30-40 snaps total, spread out throughout the year if anyone on the line needs a breather or games get out of hand (in either direction).

How’d He Get Here: Conte was a walk on at Boston College in 2015, as it was the only school that seemed to really give him a look.
