2016 Stats: Shane did not see gametime in 2016, as he was redshirted.

2017 Projection: Shane Leonard is going to be an intriguing player to watch this season. He was praised by head coach Steve Addazio during spring practice for his play, as he filled in for injured center Jon Baker. With Elijah Johnson going down with a season ending injury, Shane Leonard could be a name that jumps on to the depth chart early in the season. Will Addazio shuffle around his linemen, and move Baker to move Shane Leonard to center? Probably not, he said as much during the ACC Kickoff. But if Daz needs one more lineman to fill out his starting five, Leonard could be the guy.

How’d He Get Here: Shane was a 3* offensive lineman, who had claimed offers from Bryant, Central Connecticut State, Coastal Carolina, Fordham, Holy Cross, Liberty and Maine.
