Today, the NWHL announced that Dana Trivigno has signed with the Boston Pride for the 2017-18 season. Trivigno spent her rookie season with the Connecticut Whale. She will join fellow former Eagles Kaliya Johnson, Lexi Bender, and Emily Field, who both signed with Boston earlier this season.
Trivigno, who scored 9 points in 16 regular season games last year, is a big get for Boston. With most of the league’s star players taking the year off for the Olympics, and others, like Kelli Stack, departing for other opportunities, Trivigno could be one of the NWHL’s bigger names in 2017-18. Known for being strong on offense and for her tough style of play, Trivigno will bring numerous skills to the Pride roster.
Boston is a desirable destination for any player, as the Pride are the winningest NWHL team. It’s also a good location for Trivigno, who has been working as a referee in Hockey East since her graduation.
