The Basketball Tournament: Team Challenge ALS Downs No. 3 The Stickmen 87-73, Advance to Super 16

After a rout of The Wasatch Front Friday evening, Team Challenge ALS continued its road to the final of The Basketball Tournament with authority.

In the second round of the tournament, Team Challenge ALS defeated The Stickmen 87-73 in Las Vegas. With the win, Team Challenge ALS advanced to the Round of 16.

Casper Ware, an alumnus of Long Beach State, led the way for Team Challenge ALS with 22 points off the bench, leading the bench to another strong performance, outscoring The Stickmen’s reserves 34-15.

BC basketball alumnus Sean Marshall was six-for-12 from the field in the contest, and netted 15 points in the effort.

Team Challenge ALS held The Stickmen to just 35% from the field.

With the win, Team Challenge ALS will play No. 2 Few Good Men in the round of 16. The round will be played on July 22 on the campus of LIU-Brooklyn. Tickets can be bought here.
