Yesterday, Martin Jarmond announced the hiring of Vaughn Williams and Jocelyn Fisher Gates and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration and Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator respectively.

Williams, who has previously worked at BC, spent the past 6 years as the AD at Kennesaw State University. While at KSU, he added football and lacrosse (and hired Al Skinner). Williams was the 2016-17 Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year, a distinction voted on by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. He is currently in the midst of a 4-year term with the NIT Selection Committee. Williams was a football player at UMass during his college years.

Gates is leaving her position as Senior Associate Athletic Director and SWA at University of South Florida to join Boston College. She has been at USF since 2013 and was promoted to her current role in 2014. He specific focuses were academics, Title IX, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, and football scheduling. Gates has previously worked for Duke and the NCAA. She graduated from Howard University and is an alumna of Howard’s women’s soccer program.

Congrats to the new hires and welcome to BC!
