Better Know an Eagle 2017: #29 Atem Ntantang

The Eagle enters his senior season.

NCAA Football: Boston College at North Carolina State Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Atem Ntantang

Position: Defensive Back

Number: 29

Year: Senior

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 195

Hometown: Purcellville, Virginia

High School: Woodgrove

2016 Stats: Ntantang played in all 13 games last year, primarily on special teams. He recorded 4 total tackles.

Projections: Ntantang projects as a pretty clear special teamer next year. He showed up in the spring game though, recording 6 tackles and recovering a fumble, so it’s possible he gets some play time as a rotational DB.

Over/Under: 8 tackles

How’d He Get Here: A two star corner from Virginia, Ntantang had two other offers from Ohio and James Madison. He chose his lone Power 5 offer and came north.

Here’s his senior year highlights.

Follow him on twitter: @atem_ntantang (Probably my favorite BC football player to follow.)

We here at BCI brought this up a few years ago, but its still as beautiful now as it was then

Best Beard on the Eagles: Him. It is gorgeous.

Story Time: On one of my first days when I worked for the Eagles as an equipment manager, I had not learned that there were people flying around with no regard for non-athlete life. A DB ran into me at full speed when my back was turned and sent me flying, and Atem is the one guy who helped me up and made sure I was okay. For that, I shall always have a soft spot in my heart for him.
