Today, Boston College athletics announced its newest initiative - the Boston College Fan Council. This is one of the first major public acts for Martin Jarmond, who took over as athletic director at the beginning of the month.
The group of 15-20 people will meet to discuss the Boston College game day experience and how it could be improved from a fan perspective. Game day experience has been a big problem for BC in recent years, particularly considering that the football team has been... not fun to watch at times. If the game isn’t going to be enjoyable to watch, it becomes even more important to have a good game day experience to draw fans in. Major game day issues have ranged from strict tailgating rules to sesame seed pretzels.
Jarmond and his staff will be selecting the members in July and plan to have the first group meeting in August. If you’re interested in applying, you can do so on BC’s website.
