Boston College landed another commit on Monday night, this time it was a recruit with a new that should be very familiar to New England Patriots fans (per his Twitter account).

That would be Tyler Vrabel, a 3* offensive lineman out of Houston Texas (St. Pious X) and the son of Patriots’ linebacker and current Houston Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel. This is a very interesting get, Vrabel used to work with Urban Meyer at Ohio State, and of course Meyer and Addazio have a great relationship, so you have to wonder if that factored in at all.
Vrabel a 6’2 255lb offensive tackle, had offers from Houston, Cincinnati, Memphis, Ohio and Toledo. He received his offer from Boston College back on June 11th, and camped at BC at some point according to a picture he posted with the offer. He is the second offensive lineman taken out of the state of Texas in the past week.
Boston College has done a nice job over the past two years grabbing some recruits with famous parents. Last year the Eagles brought in Tate Haynes, son of NFL Hall of Famer Mike Haynes, this year they landed K John Tessitore, son of ESPN analyst Joe Tessitore.
You can check out his HUDL film below. Welcome to the Heights Tyler!
