Alex Tuch is heading to Vegas! Tuch, who was selected 18th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by Minnesota, was traded in exchange for a third round pick.
Tuch played in his rookie professional season in 2016-17. He spent most of the year in the AHL with the Iowa Wild, but did play 6 games for the Minnesota Wild. Tuch had a terrific season for Iowa, leading the team in goals (18) and +/- (+10). Tuch’s 37 points in 57 games landed him in second place on the team, only 1 point out of first. Tuch is a strong prospect that should be able to make the full time transition to the NHL sometime during the next couple of seasons.
Tuch is currently the only former Eagle heading to the NHL’s newest team. Tuch will likely spend at least part of the year with the Golden Knights’ AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
