All 4 Boston College field hockey players/alumni that played in this week’s Young Women’s National Championship have been named to Team USA training camp rosters. More than 130 athletes competed in the event in the quest to be named to the U-21 Junior National Camp or the Development Squad National Camp.
Emily and Erin McCoy (BC ‘17) and Leah Settipane (BC ‘16), who played on the development squad team during the Young Women’s National Championship, all made the Development Squad National Camp roster.
The McCoy sisters are tied for 9th in program history with 34 career goals each. Erin and Emily were both named to the development team in January. Settipane leads all BC goals with 8 career wins and is third in program histories in both saves and shutouts, and also has a history of being invited to Team USA camps.
More surprisingly, Boston College rising sophomore and back-up goaltender, Sarah Dwyer, was named to the U-21 Junior National Camp roster after a terrific tournament.
The 2017 U- 21 Junior and Development Squad National Camp will be held from June 17-20 in Lancaster, PA.
