What’s most impressive with Evan Stewart is his offer list, which includes Virginia, West Virginia, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Northwestern, Rutgers and Syracuse. The Montvale, New Jersey native is excited about the 4-2-5 scheme according to his interview on NJ.com. He also had other thoughts on Boston College:
"The football, first of all, is great. And I have a good relationship with the coaches and everything. And their education is obviously top notch...So all of that just made it a pretty easy decision for me."
The three star recruit also spoke about the connections his high school St. Joseph’s has with Boston College:
"I know Malachi Moore from Pope John and Noah Merritt. They both went (to BC)," Stewart said. "I talk to them a little bit. So I know those two. And coach (Augie) Hoffmann went there, obviously. So he told me a lot of good things about it."
There has been some concerns about 2018 recruits BC has landed lacking offers from other P5 programs, Stewart clearly isn’t a concern there. According to NJ.com he is the #15 recruit in the state, while Rivals has him at 20, again another good sign as New Jersey has produced some great NCAA and NFL talent. In his junior season at St. Joseph he had 53 tackles, 8 pass deflections, and three interceptions.
