This was a big week for Boston College softball. With one game against Bryant, followed by a three game set with Louisville, the Eagles had a huge opportunity to continue its momentum.

Against Bryant, Kendra Friedt got the start, throwing four scoreless innings against the Bulldogs. She struck out seven and only allowed two hits, before turning the ball over to Jessica Dreswick for the three inning save. Lexi DiEmmanuelle reached on an error in the fourth, allowing Cortez to score to give the Eagles the 1-0 W.

In the opener of the Louisville series, Jessica Dreswick gave up five unearned runs as the Cardinals capitalized on four BC errors. Jordan Weed had two RBI on a double in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough and the Eagles lost, 5-3.

In the second game, Jessica Dreswick got the ball again, this time going the distance, giving up two runs. The offense was paced by the top of the order, as the first six Eagles in the order all recorded RBI as BC won 6-2.

In the finale, Jessica Dreswick received her third win of the week, again going 7 innings and only allowing four hits and no earned runs. Jordan Chimento was the offensive hero for the team, driving in all three runs for the Eagles, including the go-ahead two run home run in the sixth inning.

The Eagles are currently in second place in the ACC. This week, they will take on UConn and BU before a two game set in Chapel Hill against the Tar Heels.
