The Boston College women’s lacrosse team earned an easy win over Navy on Saturday afternoon, defeating Navy by a score of 20-11. This is the first time the Eagles have scored 20 goals since 2015.
The game was back and forth for the first half, and the Eagles entered the second leading by only 8-7. The game was tied 4 minutes into the second, but BC went on a 4-0 run over the next 13 minutes to retake the lead. The Eagles ended the game by scoring 6 goals in under 5 minutes.
BC was led by Sam Apuzzo, who tallied over 7 points for the 3rd time this season. Apuzzo scored 5 goals and 4 assists for a total of 9 points. Kate Weeks led the Eagles with 6 goals.
Kaileen Hart and Kayla O'Connor both set career highs in Saturday’s game. O’Connor scored a career high 4 goals, while Hart had a career high 6 points, 5 assists, and 3 draw controls.
The Eagles are on a 3 game winning streak following the win at Navy, but they’ll face some serious competition on Wednesday when they take on #1 Maryland.
