Boston College received their second commitment of the 2018 cycle on Sunday when Lawrence Academy TE/DE Joey Luchetti verbally pledged to the Eagles:

There isn’t much information on Luchetti on the recruiting sites. He is a 6’6 240lb according to his brand new Rivals page. He is a two sport athlete, also playing for the LA basketball team as well. He camped at BC for Junior Day back in January, and was one of at least three 2018 Lawrence Academy recruits to gain a Boston College offer (joining Ryan Betro and Finn Dirstine).
The Lawrence Academy pipeline is an interesting to watch for, as last year the Eagles landed AJ Dillon from the school, Eddy Fish a 3* OL just transferred from Illinois after playing at LA as a high schooler and WR Chris Garrison and LB Doug Rodier are already on the roster. Paul Zukauskas, the head coach at Lawrence Academy is a former BC football player so there is a great connection there for Addazio to work with.
Of course the big fish at Lawrence Academy is 4* OL Finn Dirstine. You have to wonder if grabbing these commitments from players with no major offers is a long term move to put the Eagles in better shape to get Dirstine. Or maybe they really just like Luchetti. We shall see.
Welcome to the Heights Joey!
