Boston College Women’s Lacrosse Earns First ACC Win

The Eagles defeated Louisville and are now 1-2 in the ACC.

The Boston College women’s lacrosse team earned a big win against Louisville yesterday, improving their record to 8-3 overall and 1-2 in the ACC. The Eagles held Louisville scoreless for 21 minutes and ultimately ended up winning by a score of 14-11.

The Eagles were led by Kayla O’Connor, who scored a career high 5 goals and now has had hat tricks in 5 straight games. O’Connor’s first 3 goals of the game were scored in a 1:26 minute time period.

Junior Kaileen Hart recorded a career high 7 points in the game with 5 assists and 2 goals, while Sam Apuzzo added to her national scoring lead with 2 goals and an assist. Kate Weeks also continues to impress for the Eagles, picking up 3 goals and an assist in yesterday’s game.

The Eagles are now 4-0 at home, but will have to face a tough UNC team on the road in their next game. BC heads to Chapel Hill on March 5th to play the Tar Heels.
