Preview: Boston College Women’s Hockey vs. UConn

The Boston College women’s hockey team takes on UConn today at 7 PM, taking over Conte for a Friday night game while the men’s team is in New Hampshire. If you usually go to the men’s games and aren’t headed to UNH, this is a great chance to watch some really talented ladies playing hockey!

This is the third time BC has played UConn this season. The Eagles defeated the Huskies twice in October, beating them 3-0 in Connecticut and 5-1 at home. The Huskies have won just 1 of their last 5 games (a 2-1 victory over Vermont), while BC is on a 7 game winning streak.

BC is coming off of a big Beanpot win over BU and should be feeling pretty good about themselves. However, the game between Beanpot games can sometimes be a trap for the two winning teams, as players are focused on the championship game they’ll be playing in a few days.
