The Boston College women’s lacrosse team earned a thrilling (but too close for comfort) win over Harvard yesterday, securing their 13-12 victory in overtime. The Eagles were down by 3 goals with four minutes to play, but managed to stage a comeback, tying the game with only 27 seconds remaining. The final score was the only time that BC had a lead in the game - they got off to a slow start and were held scoreless for the first 16 minutes of the match.

Three separate Eagles players had hat tricks in the game, including Kaileen Hart, who scored the OT game-winner. Kayla O’Connor and Kate Weeks were BC’s other 3 goal scorers. Kate Taylor scored twice for the Eagles, while Sam Apuzzo and Dempsey Arsenault each scored once.

O’Connor led the team in points yesterday with a career high 5 points thanks to 2 assists in addition to her hat trick. Elizabeth Miller earned two career highs yesterday: 5 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls. Zoe Ochoa picked up career save #281 against Harvard and now has the fifth most saves in program history.

The Eagles return to action at the beginning of March - they head to Maryland to play both Navy and Maryland before returning home to face Monmouth on March 15.
