Analysis: Long is one of three tight ends in this BC recruiting class. The 6’5" tight end has a big frame and a nice pair of hands. Long isn’t an exceptional athlete so we are looking at more of a prototypical tight end as opposed to a hybrid. Boston College has some good depth at the position heading into next year with Tommy Sweeney, Korab Idrizi and Chris Garrison ready to fill the depth chart. Given this depth, I wouldn't be surprised if Long is redshirted this upcoming season to allow him to get used to the college speed.
