Analysis: McQuarrie comes from an area not know for producing many ACC level recruits, in New Hampshire. He played quarterback in high school, but the coaching staff must have seen something in his skill set or more likely his size that attracted Steve Addazio and his staff. Given that he has limited experience at the tight end position, McQuarrie is probably going to need some time to learn the position and get ready to play at the next level. Given that, and that Boston College has some depth already at that position (Tommy Sweeney, Korab Idrizi etc), it would seem like McQuarrie will most likely redshirt in 2017.
