Boston College football picked up another honor yesterday as defensive back Lukas Denis was named a Walter Camp Football Foundation Second Team All American.
Denis, who finished the season tied with Josh Jackson (Iowa) and Jalen Young (FAU) with seven interceptions to lead the country.
Per the BC Press Release:
In his first year as a starter at free safety, Denis put together a strong season to earn All-ACC honors in addition to the All-ECAC accolades for the first time. The Everett, Mass., native is tied for the national lead with seven interceptions, which is for fourth in Boston College single-season history. Denis is tied for 11th nationally with 16 passes defended in 2017 and ranks third on the team with 80 tackles.
Denis was a crucial part of the 31st ranked pass defense. He will see if he can take finish 1st in interceptions on December 27th, when the Eagles face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
