The Boston College Eagles won their fifth straight game Saturday afternoon, defeating the Richmond Spiders 78-73. The Eagles were powered by a 30 point effort by the red-hot Jordan Chatman, who went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc.
The win was not all fun and games for the Eagles. BC went 58% from the free throw line (10-for-17). Ky Bowman in particular went 1-for-4 from the stripe. Bowman, however, scored 17 points in the effort.
For Richmond, the Spiders were powered by a strong effort by Grant Golden. Golden had a double-double, pulling 10 rebounds and netting 17 points for the Richmond Spiders.
The win concludes this stretch of non-conference play for the Eagles. While the Eagles have one game against Dartmouth coming up, the majority of games moving forward are in ACC play. The Eagles start ACC play Dec. 30 in Charlottesville, Va. against the No. 13 Virginia Cavaliers at John Paul Jones Arena.
