Projected 2018 Returning Depth: Anthony Brown (So.), Matt MacDonald (R-Fr.), E.J. Perry IV (So.), Tate Haynes (R-Fr.), John Fadule (Sr.), Darius Wade (?)

Projected 2018 Two Deep: 1. Anthony Brown 2. E.J. Perry IV

Analysis: BC sorely needed to add some depth here, especially with Wade’s return being a possible question mark moving forward. If Brown is the starter next year, will Wade want to spend a post graduate year somewhere he can get more immediate playing time? Clearly, Langan who plays in a tough conference in New Jersey for Bergen Catholic is the more intriguing of the two, but dont’ count Valecce out. While New York isn’t necessarily a hot bed for quarterbacks, they have had some solid talent come out of the state the past few years. They are both very different quarterbacks, Valecce a pro-style and Langan more of a scrambler. Given that BC has been able to create offenses around both styles with Brown (scrambler) and Wade (pocket), the style shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Brown should have three more years of starting, and Perry looks to be the backup moving forward. But as we saw this year injuries can happen, and having 3-4 quarterbacks who could be ready is necessary for any team. Addazio probably will have them learn the offense for a year or two before they crack the two deep.
