Ayla Brown to Sing National Anthem at PyeongChang Olympics

Former BC women’s basketball player will perform at winter games

Former BC women’s basketball player Ayla Brown will travel to South Korea this February to sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Winter Olympics. Brown will sing at the USA vs. Canada women’s hockey game on February 15th, and the USA vs. Slovakia men’s game on February 16th.

Brown played in 128 games for the BC women’s basketball team from 2006 to 2010. During this time, the team was twice invited to the NIT. The 6’0” guard shot 40.3% from the field for the Eagles and averaged 6.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1 steal per game. Brown, who performed on American Idol before her tenure at BC, has pursued a career in music since graduating. She has released 3 country albums since 2012.
