Final Score:

Boston College 73, Hartford 61

The Eagles were able to overcome a very slow start to earn their fifth win of the season, led by their stellar backcourt of Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman, who combined for 44 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. In addition, Robinson became the latest Eagle to reach the 1,000 point plateau. Jordan Chatman and Nik Popovic were the only other Eagles to finish in double figures, finishing with 14 and 13, respectively.

The Eagles turned it on in the second half, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but in the first half, their defensive rotations were poor and sloppy, often resulting in open threes for the Hawks. However, they did a great job of controlling the glass, only allowing eight offensive rebounds and finishing the game with a +12 margin on the glass.

Steffon Mitchell was one of the major bright spots for BC tonight, as he was able to finish with nine rebounds and he was extremely disruptive on the defensive side of the ball, consistently deflecting passes and altering shots.

Next up, the Eagles will welcome undefeated and #1 Duke to Chestnut Hill, who has looked extremely solid this year and has been led by potential number 1 pick Marvin Bagley III. Yikes.
