Boston College Men’s Basketball: Eagles Projected by ESPN’s Bracketology To Be in NCAA Tournament

NCAA Basketball: Duke at Boston College Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Well, it appears the secret is out on the Boston College Eagles’ men’s basketball team.

In ESPN’s latest version of Bracketology, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament projections devised by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, the Eagles are projected to be a No. 12 seed in the West Bracket. The Eagles are predicted to play the Florida Gators, the projected No. 5 seed, in Witchita, Kansas.

To be totally clear, this is the NCAA Tournament we’re talking about. Not the NIT, not the CBI. The Big Dance. The NCAA Tournament.

The projection likely builds off the Eagles’ upset of the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils Saturday afternoon at Conte Forum.

Obviously this is a very early projection, and the Eagles have a lot of basketball left ot play in a really competitive conference, but appears the Eagles have turned the corner, and the college basketball world has noticed.

The Eagles are 8-3 on the year.
