After ending October with a win, the Boston College volleyball team began another losing streak to start November. The Eagles started the month with two away games in North Carolina, and they fell in straight sets to both UNC and NC State.

BC kept things close in the first set against UNC, losing by only 2 points. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the Tar Heels would go on to win sets 2 and 3 by scores of 25-13 and 25-15 respectively. Despite the loss, the Eagles did have some strong individual play. Jane DeJarld led the match in assists with 28, and Cat Balido was 1 point away from another double-double (she had 10 digs and 9 kills).

The Eagles were more competitive against NC State, but still came away winless. They lost 25-20 in the first set, 25-13 in the second set, and 25-19 in the third. On the positive side, sophomore Sophie West hit an impressive .600 for the Eagles with no hitting errors and Jane DeJarld picked up 21 assists. Amaka Chukwujekwu led the match with 4 blocks, and BC led with 5 blocks to NC State’s 4.

This week, the Eagles head to Florida for their final road games of the season. They will face Miami on Thursday and FSU on Sunday.
