After the first 20 minutes, the Eagles are down 36-31. Despite playing its worst half of the year, BC is hanging in there against a very athletic Texas Tech team. Ky Bowman and Jordan Chatman each have six first half points and Deontae Hawkins is leading the way with 10.
The Eagles struggled with controlling the glass, not doing a great job of boxing out, and allowing Texas Tech to get eight offensive rebounds. While the Red Raiders are extremely athletic, if Boston College can box out, they can control the glass and come back to win. In order to do so, however, they also need to do a much better job of controlling the ball, as their 10 first half turnovers would attest to. Lastly, the Eagles are only 1-11 from three point land. During the first three games, my keys to winning the game were turnovers, rebounding, and three point shooting. They did a great job of that during the three game homestand, and now they must continue to do so if they want to be competitive for the rest of the year.
