Last week, Coach Campbell announced the 3 players that will be joining Boston College volleyball as members of the class of 2022. The trio of new Eagles will join the team next fall as they hope to help BC earn its first winning season in many years.
Derry Costigan is a 6’0” setter from Florida. Costigan was a 4 year starter and senior captain for her high school team, where she was a 3 time state champion. Max Prep ranks Costigan as the 23rd best setter in Florida.
Jewel Strawberry is an outside hitter from Tallahassee, Florida. She was a 4 year captain at Maclay School and led her team in kills and digs. She is a two-time MVP at Maclay and was selected for the FACA All-Star Game due to her talent. Strawberry is the daughter of former MLB star Darryl Strawberry.
Megan Wall is the lone non-Floridian in the incoming class. Wall is a 6’2” middle blocker from California, where she was her high school team’s captain this season. Wall was named to the All-Tournament team at this year’s Global Challenge in Croatia and was a member of USA Volleyball's High Performance team in 2014 and 2015.
Congrats to the newest Eagles!
