Previewing and Predicting Boston College vs. Sacred Heart

Coming off its second straight blowout to begin the season, Boston College will face off with the Sacred Heart Pioneers Tuesday night in Conte. While the Eagles beat SC State by 39 on Sunday, the Pioneers are coming off a 69-64 loss to Holy Cross in its one and only game this season.

Keys to Beating the Pioneers

I’m going to stick with my same three keys, because, quite simply, they’ve been working for the Eagles. Against the mid-major opponents, they’ve been able to play bully ball, outshooting, outrebounding, and forcing turnovers. Sunday’s game was the first time I was able to see the Eagles live this year and I was blown away by their improvements. Nik Popovic is noticeably stronger and more in control than he was last year, Hawkins and Mitchell are extremely versatile on defense, and Bowman and Robinson look like they’re moving at a different speed.

Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage to Enjoy During the Game

Pino’s is home to the best pizza I’ve had outside of New York. Stop by Pino’s, grab yourself a hot chocolate, coffee, or tea from Starbucks to get you through the cold, and get to Conte for the game.
