The Boston College volleyball team is in the midst of another losing streak after dropping games to Miami and FSU last week. BC has fallen to 6-20 and has won only 3 ACC games.

On Thursday, BC dropped a close match to Miami, losing in 5 sets. Jill Strockis led the game with 17 digs and McKenna Goss and Jane DeJarld both recorded double-doubles, but that wasn’t enough to take home the win. The Eagles dropped the first frame 25-19 before evening things up with a 25-22 win in the second set. A dominant 25-17 victory in the third gave the Eagles the lead, but Miami would go on to win 2 straigh sets and the game.

On Sunday, Jane DeJarld played a fantastic game but BC fell in straight sets to FSU. DeJarld picked up her ninth double-double of the season with game high 27 assists and 11 digs. Cat Balido also had a strong game, leading the match with 12 kills. The Eagles put up a fight in the first set, losing only 25-20. However, FSU easily managed BC and took 25-17 and 25-13 victories in the remaining sets to win the game.

BC returns to Chestnut Hill this week after two weeks away. The Eagle will face Duke on Friday and Wake Forest on Sunday.
