This afternoon, the Boston College Eagles hosted Harvard as BC held the 11th annual MS game in honor of program alum Kathleen Murphy. The Eagles earned a shootout victory against #13 Harvard while also raising awareness of multiple sclerosis.

Carly Kauffman scored BC’s only regulation goal of the game, taking a shot from the top of the circle off of a corner. Harvard tied things up five minutes later, and no more goals would be scored until the shootout. Sarah Dwyer made 8 saves for BC in the game, which included two overtime periods. Dwyer’s biggest save came during overtime, when Harvard was awarded a penalty stroke.

Following the overtime periods, the game went into a shootout. Dwyer allowed only one goal during the shootout, and Caroline McGovern and Jaime Natale both scored for BC to secure the victory.

The Eagles are now 9-0 in non-conference play, and will look to extend that streak on Friday the 13th against Northeastern.
