This weekend, the Boston College women’s hockey team opens the 2017-18 regular season with 2 games against Minnesota-Duluth. The Eagles and the Bulldogs are consistently topped ranked teams, with the Eagles currently at #3 and UMD at #4. Last year, BC opened the year with a 3-3 tie with and 5-2 loss to the Bulldogs.
The Eagles are coming into this game having played only an exhibition game, while the Bulldogs has 2 victories over Penn State under their belts. Despite that, these games should be competitive, with neither team having a major edge. Eagles fans should be particularly excited to get their first look at the stellar freshman class that includes Cayla Barnes and Daryl Watts.
