Boston College jumped out to a 24-7 lead over the Virginia Cavaliers, utilizing their new found high powered offensive gameplan. The Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead after a long drive that was capped by a 30 yard field goal by Colton Lichtenberg. After a succession of stops, the explosive plays were back this time with a 76 yard jet sweep by Thadd Smith, followed by a huge 75 yard pass to Kobay White and finally a beautiful pass to Tommy Sweeney.
The offense which has been clicking on all cylinders, had 333 yards in the first, with Anthony Brown throwing for 198 and two touchdowns. A.J. Dillon had a quiet first half, running the ball 11 times for 27 yards.
