Boston College Men’s Hockey vs. St. Cloud State

Another challenging weekend ahead for BC MIH

This weekend, the Eagles are on the road for a tough matchup against the St. Cloud State Huskies. St. Cloud State enters the weekend ranked 3rd in the country, while BC has stayed steady in 13th. The Huskies are undefeated after 3 games and have been offensive powerhouses so far. If they continue to score like they have been, it could be difficult for this Boston College team to keep up. However, it is worth keeping in mind that BC has played 2 top 10 teams and 1 top 20 team so far this season, and all of St. Cloud State’s opponents have been lower ranked teams. If BC can split the weekend with St. Cloud, fans should feel quite good about the talent on this Eagles’ team.

Ice Cream of the Game

Many of our other previews feature a beverage of the game, but this year we’ll be picking an ice cream dessert of the game for MIH games. Why, you ask? Because when Jerry York got the BC coaching job, he went out for ice cream sundaes to celebrate.

This weekend’s dessert of choice is astronaut ice cream - it’s not really ice cream, just like St. Cloud isn’t a state.

Cat Predictions

Every game, we have the cats of the Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter (located right across from BC at 30 Undine Road) predict the outcome of the games. The Gifford Cat Shelter is the oldest cageless, no-kill shelter in the USA.

This week, Little is predicting a split series with St. Cloud winning 3-2 on Friday and BC winning 4-1 on Saturday.
