Boston College Announces Scrimmage Against Bryant

The preseason begins this Saturday at 4pm!

Boston College has just announced a free exhibition this Saturday at 4pm at Conte Forum. The Eagles will start their preseason against the Bryant University Bulldogs and head coach Tim O’Shea. The Bulldogs finished off the season last year with a 12-20 record (9-9 NEC), good for fifth place in the conference. The Eagles meanwhile are coming off a season where they went 9-23 overall and just 2-16 in ACC play (granted, in a much tougher conference schedule).

This will be the first chance for fans to get a glimpse of this year’s Eagles, headlined by guards Ky Bowman and Jerome Robinson. It will also be an opportunity to see how graduate transfer Teddy Hawkins is being integrated into the team at the forward spot. Obviously it is just a scrimmage and a chance for Jim Christian to test how his team is coming along, but BC wants as much momentum as possible heading into the start of the season.

Boston College will also be raising funds for those effected by recent hurricanes, and volunteers will be collecting donations at the gates. All donations will be given to Catholic Charities USA and to Jesuit ministries in the affected areas.

The Eagles tip off their regular season on November 10th at home against Maine.
