Eagles in the Pros, 10/9-10/15: Alex Tuch and Ian McCoshen Score First Career NHL Goals

Also featuring Scott Savage’s first pro goal, a strong week from Brian Gibbons, and a shutout for Thatcher Demko.

Cam Atkinson (Columbus Blue Jackets): Atkinson scored his second goal of the season (a fancy rebound shot) in Columbus’ comeback win over the Wild last week.

Brian Boyle (New Jersey Devils): Boyle has not yet returned from medical leave.

Paul Carey (New York Rangers): Carey saw ice time in 2 of NY’s 3 games last week.

Brian Dumoulin (Pittsburgh Penguins): Dumoulin saw 20+ minutes of ice time in all 3 of Pittsburgh’s games last week.

Patrick Eaves (Anaheim Ducks): Eaves scored the GWG in Anaheim’s victory over the Islanders last week with a quick one-timer from the circle.

Johnny Gaudreau (Calgary Flames): Gaudreau picked up 5 points over 4 games last week - 4 assists and a goal. He scored in Calgary’s 5-2 victory over the Canucks with a classic Gaudreau & Monahan power-play setup.

Brian Gibbons (New Jersey Devils): Gibbons had a stellar week, recording 2 goals and 2 assists over 4 games. His second goal was a rebound shorthanded goal.

Noah Hanifin (Carolina Hurricanes): Hanifin assisted on the only Hurricanes goal in a loss to the Jets.

Ian McCoshen (Florida Panthers): McCoshen scored his first goal of the season in Florida’s win over the Blues. This was his first career NHL goal.

Brooks Orpik (Washington Capitals): Orpik recorded 12 hits and 10 blocks over 4 games.

Zach Sanford (St. Louis Blues): Sanford is injured.

Steve Santini (New Jersey Devils): Santini assisted on the first Devils’ goal in the team’s win over Toronto - a goal scored by fellow former Eagle, Miles Wood.

Cory Schneider (New Jersey Devils): Schneider went 2-1 last week. He made 23 saves against the Sabres and Capitals, and a career high 47 saves against the Maple Leafs.
