Fresh off Boston College’s stunning victory over the Louisville Cardinals, A.J. Dillon is going to be recognized for his game changing performance. Today, in a press release he was named the Walter Camp National Player Of The Week (Offense)

“AJ DILLON, BOSTON COLLEGEFreshman, Running Back, New London, CT/Lawrence AcademyTrue freshman AJ Dillon rushed for 272 yards (on 39 carries) and four touchdowns as Boston College defeated Louisville, 45-42. Dillon scored on runs of 1, 3, 11 and 75 yards as the Eagles improved to 3-4 on the season. Dillon finished with the third-best single-game rushing total in school history and the most ever by a true freshman in Boston College history.”

He also did this:

Dillon’s performance was the 5th most rushing yards by any running back in the 2017 season, and most rushing yards since Andre Williams in 2013. Dillon is the fourth Eagle to ever receive this award, and the first offensive player since Williams.

Obviously this is exciting times for Boston College, and it’s great to see Dillon win this award. Hopefully this week will be the spring board to an exciting end of the season.

Congratulations A.J!
