UPDATE: Saturday’s Frozen Fenway games have been postponed to Sunday.

As weather reports continue to suggest inches of snow and strong winds in Boston tomorrow, Hockey East has announced that the incoming storm could affect tomorrow’s Frozen Fenway games. Hockey East will make a decision on the games scheduled for January 7th sometime this evening.

Boston University and UMass are scheduled to play tomorrow at 1:30 PM, and Boston College and Providence College are set to play following that game, around 5 PM. This game is taking the place of Boston College’s away game at Providence and will count as a home game for the Friars.

While Frozen Fenway is certainly an exciting event for the players, many fans feel that it is time to retire these outdoor games. The frequency of Frozen Fenway games has made it a less special experience and the baseball park does not have great viewing for hockey action.

We will keep readers updated as we hear more from the league.
