The Oracle/ITA Division I Regional Rankings have placed two Boston College women’s tennis players among the top 10 players in the Northeast.

Junior Asiya Dair, who is from Kazakhstan, begins the season as the #4 player in the region. Dair is ranked 103rd overall and went 12-6 last season. Dair was third-team All-ACC as a sophomore and advanced to the ITA Northeast Regional quarterfinals in the fall.

Lexi Borr, a senior from Westfield, NJ, enters the spring season ranked 8th in the Northeast. Borr had a 10-13 record as a junior and, like Dair, earned third-team All-ACC honors last spring.

Both players have improved their preseason rankings from last spring. Borr ranked 9th in the Northeast in 2016 while Dair has climbed from being ranked 17th.

BC begins the spring season on January 21st, jumping right into ACC play against Virginia. The Eagles do not play at home until February 11, when they will take on Rhode Island.
