Highlights: Boston College 60, Clemson 48

The Eagles earned their first ACC win of the season yesterday.

The Eagles defeated Clemson last night and are now 1-0 in the ACC. Boston College won by a score of 60-48, led by Mariella Fasoula’s 19 points. Georgia Pineau, who was named ACC Rookie of the Week, scored 14 points in the win. BC was also helped by some big 3-pointers from Kelly Hughes and Emilee Daley. The Eagles were particularly accurate from behind the free throw line, shooting 61.5%.

The Eagles made 36 rebounds to Clemson’s 22 and held Clemson to no 3-pointers. BC held the lead for most of the game and ran away with the game in the 4th quarter.

This was Boston College’s first ACC game of the season, and the win boosted their record to 8-6. The Eagles will look to continue their 6 game winning streak on Thursday when they head to Pennsylvania to play Pittsburgh (9-5). Pittsburgh is currently on a 2 game losing streak.
