The Boston College women’s hockey team returns to Conte Forum tomorrow night following a weekend sweep of UVM in Vermont. The Eagles, who lead Hockey East, will face the last place team in the conference - Merrimack. The Eagles and the Warriors face off at 7 PM on Wednesday and the game can be watched online here.
Merrimack is a new team that hasn’t been able to maintain a winning record since joining D1, but they have managed to play competitively and win some big games. The Warriors are 8-16-3 this season but have won games against Robert Morris and Northeastern and have skated to ties with Quinnipiac.
The Eagles and the Warriors have met twice already this season, with BC coming away victorious both times. The Eagles earned a close 1-0 win over Merrimack at Conte on January 13 and picked up a 3-1 victory in North Andover the next night.
Of note for the rest of this season (and next) is that any win that Katie Burt gets will be one more to add to her program record 81 career wins.
