Following 2 close games against a last place Merrimack team last weekend, BC heads to Vermont for a 2 game away series. The Eagles dominated the Catamounts at home last season, earning a 6-2 win and a 6-1 win over Vermont.
The Eagles currently stand at the top of Hockey East rankings and are ranked in the top 10 nationally. BC is 16-3-4 on the season and is on a 3 game winning streak. The Eagles are led by Andie Anastos, who has 26 points in 23 games. Katie Burt has 2 shutouts and a .929 save percentage for the Eagles and has saved them in numerous games.
Vermont is 10-7-7 and is coming off of two huge ties with #10 Boston University. The Catamounts don’t have the big name players that BC does, but their team leaders have respectable stats. Saana Valkama is in first on the team with 13 points, while Alyssa Gorecki leads with 7 goals.
The Eagles and the Catamounts will play today at 1 PM and tomorrow at 2 PM. You can stream both games on UVM’s website.
