Women's Soccer Gets 5th Win With a 5 Goal Game

The Eagles are now 5-0-1

The Boston College women's soccer team defeated Pacific this afternoon by a score of 5-1. The Eagles dominated the game, holding Pacific to only 2 shots on goal and 1 corner kick.

The first goal of the game came in the 15th minute, when Kayla Jennings scored her 4th goal of the season. Jennings scored with a header off a corner kick from Jenna Bike.

Bike scored 8 minutes late to put BC up 2-0 with a laser shot off a pass from McKenzie Meehan and the Eagles went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Hayley Dowd scored the 3rd goal of the game with her 3rd goal of the season in the 53rd minute. Dowd snuck the ball through Pacific's goalie's hands for an unassisted tally.

BC put the game away at the 60 minute mark, scoring 2 goals in a minute. The first goal was scored by McKenzie Meehan off a give and go with Jenna Bike.  Amber Stearns then scored her first collegiate goal, also off an assist from Bike. Stearns took a header off Bike's corner kick. Bike was the leading scorer in the game with 1 goal and 3 assists.

Pacific ended Erin Seppi's shutout with 10 minutes left in the game with a goal from Sigrid Aas for a final score of 5-1.

McKenzie Meehan and scored her 50th point during today's game. She is 8 points away from breaking Kristie Mewis' program record for most career points.

BC next plays on Wednesday night when they take on Harvard at 7 PM on Newton Campus.
