With the FCS game against Wagner in the rear-view mirror, Boston College now faces a MAC opponent in Buffalo. Last week’s game had no point spread, but this week, Boston College opens as an 18-point favorite, with Vegas seeing BC as likely to ease to a win at home.
Like last week, BC will be a heavy favorite, but unlike last week, they will need to bring a solid performance; as we’ve seen through the years, MAC teams are no pushovers and Buffalo will be ready to give the Eagles a fight.
Sagarin ranks Boston College as #80 in the nation with a ranking of 66.19; Buffalo is at #135 at 52.98. Based on those numbers, you might think the spread would be a little bit tighter, but the Eagles do have the edge of being at home.
BC is 2-1 against the spread this season, covering against Georgia Tech and UMass before getting blown out by Virginia Tech.
