End of 3: Boston College leads Wagner 42-10

The Eagles head to garbage time in control.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

A 53-yard punt return by Tyler Rouse was the biggest highlight of the third quarter, and it set up a 6-yard Jon Hilliman touchdown run.

After that, it was mostly about the BC defense, which continued to shut down Wagner, holding the Seahawks to negative 2 yards of offense in the period.

Harold Landry made two sacks in the period, giving him three on the day so far, and the Eagles forced three Seahawk punts in the third.

With 1:08 left in the quarter, Michael Walker caught a screen pass from Towles and sprung it for a 27-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a 32-point lead.

As we head toward garbage time, will we see backup quarterback Darius Wade, or will the coaching staff continue to let Patrick Towles run the offense?
