CampusInsiders.com posted its weekly Hot Seat rankings of college football coaches facing pressure, and once again Steve Addazio made the list. This week, he clocks in at #8, moving down from #6 after BC’s win over UMass.

Says Rich Cirminiello of CampusInsiders:

“The offense continues to be the problem on the Heights, with a lack of pop allowing defenses to crowd the line. Addazio is probably safe if he leads BC to a bowl game, because he’s well-liked and the school recognizes its hiring limitations. However, with games still left against Clemson, Louisville and Florida State, reaching .500 is hardly a sure-thing.”

Cirminiello ranked two other ACC coaches in the top 10 on the hot seat watch. Dave Doeren is now considered on this list to have the hottest seat in the ACC, ranked #7 on the hot seat watch after NC State’s loss to ECU. Additionally, Paul Johnson remains on the list at #9 despite Georgia Tech’s 2-0 start, including a win over BC.

The site ranks Les Miles as having the hottest seat in the nation.

In a separate article posted this week, CampusInsiders ranks BC #73 in their comprehensive, 1-128 national college football rankings. BC’s next opponent, Virginia Tech, is ranked #51.
