Boston College Football vs. UMass Game Time, TV Info, Previews and More

The Eagles seek to get back to 1-1 today at Gillette

John Quackenbos

Boston College looks to shake off last week’s devastating loss today when they take on UMass in their first game this year on American soil. There should be a pretty solid BC contingent on hand to cheer them on as there was two years ago in this game. Here’s hoping the result repeats itself as well. This is most certainly a must-win game if this season is going to be a good one.

What: "Battle for the Bay State" nonconference football game

Who: Boston College Eagles (0-1, 0-1 ACC) at UMass Minutemen (0-1)

Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA

Tickets: Let’s just say there are plenty of good seats still available. Walk up and get them at the stadium, or go through this link if you’d like to shell out ticketmaster fees: http://www.ticketmaster.com/umass-football-vs-boston-college-foxborough-massachusetts-09-10-2016/event/010050F6CF067669?artistid=833822&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=8&tm_link=artist_msg-0_010050F6CF067669&bba=1

When: Saturday, September 3, 2016

Kickoff Time: 12 PM Eastern Time

How to watch on TV: The game will be broadcast live on NESN in New England

How to watch online: Stream the game via ESPN3.com / the WatchESPN App if you’re out of NESN range.

How to listen: You can listen to the game on regular ol' radio in Boston on 93.7 FM WEEI. Online, you can listen via BCEagles.com.

How to follow along on Twitter: You can follow the Eagles at @BCFootball, or follow us at @BCInterruption and follow AJ Black at @BCHysteria. Also check out @EAHoffses for Eric Hoffses' feed and that of BCI Editor @joegrav

Pre-game pub/tailgate: Not a lot of great pub options in Foxboro, but unlike at BC you’ll be able to just drive up and tailgate, so that’s nice. There will be no post-game tailgating however as the stadium need to be turned around for the evening’s Revs game.

Game watch: Come on now, if you’re in the area, go.

Gameday storyline: BC continued to be a disaster in close game situations last week, continuing their run of mystery in one-score games with another heartbreaking loss, this time to Georgia Tech. Hopefully they can just avoid those problems by building themselves a lead and sailing to victory, but few really expect that after the tough fight UMass gave Florida last Saturday. Without a doubt, UMass will give BC their best shot, so the Eagles had better be ready.
