Former Boston College ILB Steven Daniels To Miss Season With Shoulder Injury

NCAA Football: Boston College at Duke Mark Dolejs-USA TODAY Sports

Summer practices have commenced, and another Eagle has fallen. According to Mike Jones (who?) of the Washington Post, Steven Daniels, now of the Washington Redskins, has torn his labrum:

This is tough news for Daniels, who was selected in the seventh round by the Redskins in the 2016 NFL Draft. The heavy hitting linebacker was an absolute monster for BC in his senior season where he had 81 tackles (16 for loss), and was named to the ACC All Conference team (1st team by coaches, 2nd by the media). He finished his BC career with 267 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 3 fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

Injuries are just a part of the game, but it stings when it’s a young kid who already had an uphill climb to make the team. Hopefully Daniels will come back stronger than ever. Best wishes for a successful surgery and recovery.
