Emily Pfalzer Re-Signs With Buffalo

Pfalzer was the captain of the Beauts last season.

It was announced on Sunday that Emily Pfalzer re-signed with the Buffalo Beauts. Pfalzer, a NY native, captained the Beauts last season. She signed a one-year, $22,000 contract with Buffalo for the 2016-17 season.

In her first professional season, Pfalzer recorded 12 regular season points, including 10 assists. She also scored 1 goal and picked up 4 assists for Buffalo in the Isobel Cup Playoffs. Pfalzer participated in the inaugural NWHL All Star Game, where she captained one of the two teams.

Pfalzer graduated from BC in 2015 after spending four seasons as an important offensive defender for the Eagles. She had a standout season as a senior, recording 42 points and a career high 8 goals. She leads all BC women's hockey defensemen with 102 career points and 79 career assists.

Pfalzer is a two-time World Championship winner, two-time Hockey East Best Defenseman winner, and a 2015 Patty Kazmaier top 10 finalist. She was also the 2015 female Eagle of the Year.

Pfalzer was a fan-favorite in Buffalo and her leadership and defensive prowess make her an important returning player.
